Cotoneaster cascade
Cotoneaster is another shrub that I need to get under control, as it seems to be taking over a large patch of the front garden. Hadn't realised that it's now considered an invasive species, and it's illegal to plant it in the countryside or to allow it to 'escape' from your garden!
A good day! Lunch at Beatties with Liz and June, two long-time friends. Afterwards we walked over to the Methodist Hall for a couple of hours' French dancing, which was also an opportunity to chat with a few other friends and acquaintances from the 'Morris world'. L and J came back afterwards for tea and biccies, and to have a nosey round the house!
Meanwhile, MrM did a day's work in a friend's music shop, and then went fishing. Or not fishing. Apparently the rivers were full of people enjoying the water for other pursuits - paddling, swimming, canoeing and generally enjoying messing around by the river. Not surprising on such a hot (27deg), sunny afternoon!
