Blackbirds

Just some photos from the garden today..I didn’t bother with a walk in the heat! The main is ‘our’ adult male enjoying a few mealworms that I had scattered on the manhole cover in the back garden.

The extra is one of the juveniles (the last one we think) foraging amongst the plants in the border. It seems to be fending for itself quite nicely now - Dad no longer rushes around to   feed it!

We had a visit from our son today…and we went out for a Sunday lunch in Boston Spa. We knew he was coming…but he surprised us by turning up in his own car..having passed his driving test (first time) on Friday and having collected his new wheels from the garage this morning! He kept all that quiet when he said he was coming!
