What Lies Beyond

We took ourselves off to Pateley Bridge courtesy of the bus .
A pleasing walk next to the river and 90% in the shade.
When we pass this gated bridge we always wonder what lies beyond and have made up lots of stories about it over the years.
We had booked a meal at the Queens in my village and instead of having our roast dinner and a bottle of red we had the vegetarian platter and a bottle of rosé as it was so hot.
Elaine and l are sat in my garden as l attend to blip and she reads.
A very enjoyable weekend.
