Enys Gardens

Had a really nice day today with Blipper Dru. Dru had to do something to the bowls she is making so I got to see Paula Downing's pottery studio where Dru goes to her ceramics class.
In the afternoon we went to Enys Gardens about three miles outside Falmouth. I don't often visit gardens but I was glad I went to this one, its understated and not at all manicured and has woodland, a walled flower garden and a pond walk.
My father in law who was in the Dutch Navy was stationed at Enys House during the war, he met and married a local girl and they lived in Holland for five years before returning to spend the rest of their lives in Cornwall.

We ended with a cream tea - a while since I've had one of those.
