The aftermath of Johnson's resignation was predictable.  He tried to gaslight an entire nation, and he carried on twisting the truth to the very end with a resignation speech that shows his contempt for procedure, was full of hard done by schoolboy wailing, and completely lacking in atonement. He created a resignation honours list that was appalling and rewarded cronyism. He lacked competency, honesty and integrity. He is a one trick pony and that trick is his bent charisma. Johnson has a Rasputin like effect on those that get close to him, and a friend of mine who worked in his press office when he was London mayor gave me a first hand account of his almost pheremonal ability to seduce even political opponents into his warped view of the world. The result is that an egomaniac got to screw over an entire nation. You're done Boris. Just go.
