Scaring The Geese

I often see a female blackbird down by the water. I'm not sure if she's pecking at the duckweed or drinking water. Occasionally I see her performing this aerial dance, mostly for no reason I can see, other than there's no place to land where she hovers.

However, in this instance there was a group of geese off to the right. I'm not sure if her action was to scare them away or just general agitation at their presence.

I managed to have the foresight to set my shutter speed high enough today.

Extra: Eye Above. A juvenile female blackbird very close overhead. I was confused by the colour of her head and beak being orange. Looks more like a hen?
