All the way from Salt Lake City
It's twenty five years ago since my friend Anne emigrated to Salt Lake City. She has been visiting friends and family in the UK over the last few weeks.
While we have enjoyed the warm, sunny days, she has been cold on the North Yorkshire and Cleveland coast.
Hexham was very hot today and my car thermometer measured 26.5 on my way home.
I met her from the train. We had lunch in The Beaumont and then it was time for the train again. We talked lots and lots and lots!
Anne is very fine trumpet player. She is due to have surgery to her right shoulder which is not great news for a trumpeter. One of her students has made her a stand that will hold the trumpet for her and she can play it left handed. How about that?!
