100 year old string

I have just been wrapping up a quilt for a guild raffle and making a right dog’s dinner of it. I needed my late Dad or Grandad on hand to take over.
As a cop of string from a Lancashire mill handed down through the generations isn’t so interesting I’ve included my flowers, supermarket carnations supplemented by chive flowers from the garden.
