another cemetery on our U3A war graves sessions. This is one provided by his family. This is Deal churchyard and a haven for wild life is the polite way of putting it.. This young man of great promise had volunteered to take part in the Zeebrugge raid and died from a machine gun bullet to the head.
It has been a lovely day with first a stop at as farm shop then the Jenkins wonderful Deal fish shop before joining our companions. After Deal Eastry and the Five Bells pub for a very reasonably priced light lunch followed by a stop at Lidls as the Canterbury branch has closed down.
