Farewell butterfly

I was all set today to blip a photo of our departing colleague Marj who is leaving the team after 4 years though her involvement with us goes back even more years. I had a good close up macro of the necklace we got her made out of flowers coated with silver. Each piece is unique based on the detail that only nature can provide.

Then as we sat outside in the glorious summer Edinburgh sunshine enjoying a refreshing drink, a butterfly settled on the head of one of our colleagues, Tim. It stayed for minutes and steadfastly refused to open its wings. But it allowed me to get up close with this shot.

So while today was all about our much loved and valued friend Marj, the photo is of a unique occasion.
