Scaffolding

Walking to the second day of the conference on Glasgow I passed a number of iconic buildings: The giant crane, the Armadillo, the Rotunda. A new building is emerging - the Hydro - a designed concert hall with apparently excellent acoustics.

It's opening has just been delayed by a few months. It may be that the interior is ready but the exterior still is under lots of scaffolding with, I was told, teams working 24/7. The building's shape and structure seems to require a complex pattern of tubes.

As to the conference we had a very good and enthusiastic second day - and late on we reached the target of 1 million twitter impressions.
