Today has been a really good day. 
1. I've ticked off the last (for the next week), and most pleasant, task concerning my brother Tony: I've ordered 3 roses by the name of Noble Antony. That name would have really made him hoot and will be lovely for his son, my sister and I to have in our gardens.
2. I've got tickets to 2 Frome Festival events connected with the Cockey family's bell-founding activity. Yes, that's right, as well as the Cockey Lamps that I love so much, the family also made bells! There are at least 23 church towers in Somerset and 40 in Dorset that still include Cockey bells in their rings. 
3. I treated myself to a bunch of peonies. Deserved, I feel.
