Butterflies of the meadow

This was the last week to visit Krohn Conservatory’s annual butterfly show, this year entitled Butterflies of the Meadow, so since we have appointments the next two days we thought today would be a good day. It also turned out to be a suitable day, as it was cooler and overcast today, with a chance of afternoon showers, this meant it wasn’t too hot in the conservatory and there was a nice even light for photography, rather than struggling with sun and shadow. We had to reserve a time online, and we chose 2pm, and they were hour long slots. It was quite busy, but not enough to be problematic, so I came away with quite a number of shots, though a number of them got weeded out when I got back home, mainly due to focus issues. There was quite a variety and plenty of butterflies, and we spent the whole hour there quite happily!
When we got home, we enjoyed some more Birthday cake with our tea, then I had to get off grocery shopping, so we had something for dinner!
