Morning sparkle
We were off at 8.00 am to avoid the heat to Cottingley woods where we knew there would be lots of shade.
Quite a while since we’ve done this walk probably back in lockdown.
Dropping down to Beckfoot golf club there were lots of people up early playing golf too so we had to be on the watch on the path that crosses the green, stopping to let people tee off where required.
Beckfoot Bridge here looking good as usual with a lovely sparkle on the Beck. Less visible than in the winter and spring as the tree canopy is fully out. Can you spot Chris on the packhorse bridge?
The beck here is a Ford but we have known people get stuck in it. As you can see there are lots of rocks and stones.
We continued through Mouse Woods and across the River Aire to Myrtle Park where we stopped for coffee. Enough for today so we got the bus back home. Good to be enjoying this continuing good weather.
Back just after 10.00 which was good as I had a parcel delivery due at 11.00 and then off to the beauticians for a summer pedicure.
The lunchtime local news has said this weather will continue this week but rain is on it’s way for next week, I expect we need it. Good for our village gala on Saturday but, of course, the rain will probably arrive for when we go away.
