John O’Groats.

Day 9: John O’Groats, Duncansby Stacks, Castle of Mey, Dunnet Bay, Thurso.

As most people say, John O Groats doesn’t have much to see, but worth stopping by anyway to get a photo.

Duncansby Stacks are really impressive ( it was a bit misty, so a mono version seemed a better option.

Castle of Mey was nice to see, but no dogs in the castle (understandably) but no photographs either (very annoying).

Dunnet Bay was the most beautiful beach- soft white sand and only 8 other people there… we should have gone to Dunnet Head , but the road was closed.

Most of Thurso was closed too, as we arrived after 2.30….!

Weather has been amazing- had to buy shorts!
