The Farr stone.
Day 10: Farr Bay, Bettyhill, Smoo Caves, Durness, Kinlochbervie
We left Wick this morning to travel to Kinlochbervie We stopped off at Bettyhill for a coffee and came across the Farr Stone. It is in the resting place of many people from the Clan Mackay and has a museum in a converted church. Unfortunately we didn’t get to go in (no dogs) but it has an excellent reputation.

We did, however go to the nicest beach so far (Farr Bay). Only one other person with their dog on the glorious white sand.
We then headed off to Smoo Caves and just went to the first part, rather than taking a tour on a boat to the inner cave. (I’m a bit claustrophobic, so didn’t think it would be my kind of thing).
So much beautiful scenery on this part of the trip- beautiful beaches and big hills!
