Quaker shame

We went to a tiny theatre to see a new production, The Return of Benjamin Lay. He was an early Quaker who campaigned against slavery and was repeatedly expelled from Quaker Meetings by the many slaveholding Quakers in the early 18th century.
It was an excellent play about a fascinating and heroic man.
