Lagoa do Fogo

It was a morning ride to start the day, beginning on the north side of the island before meeting up some 4 miles in land. I walked, having been given coordinates. Google maps did the rest.

After lunch we were taken up an extinct volcano whose caldera now had the appropriately named Lagoa do Fogo (lake of fire) inside. Unfortunately the cloud enveloped the summit at 942 metres. A little lower we had a brief view of the lake with clouds obscuring the far side.
