Fun With Flags

Another track meet - this time set up as a mini-Olympic Games, with each school representing a country. R's school were England. Not sure if that was deliberate, as her school principal is also originally British.

Interesting dilemma for me, as a Scot...."That's not the English flag...that's British". Tried hard not to be too pedantic.

A few days before, we'd added a selection of flags to the pot at our garden gate. It held a small US flag when we arrived. It now has, courtesy of the flag shop in the village (a flag shop!...hours of fun.....), a Saltire, a Union Jack and a California state flag. Apart from a Yorkshire flag (none in the shop) we're covered.
