Furniture Shopping, Go Figure?!
Off to bed, may explain tomorrow.
Good night all.
......When I said Furniture Shopping, I really meant Furniture Wishful Thinking! My taste and my wallet are no longer on speaking terms. My wallet thinks that my taste is sorely misguided in its consideration of form being as important as function.
Saw some lovely stuff (including an Eames Lounger) which we would have no problems finding space for in our large, but essentially empty apartment, but are quite a way off affording yet. Still, it's not a race at least!
The store (Blend) was really well appointed and spread over the entrity of the 3 floors of buliding. The top floor looked out onto the balcony above. It was so bizarre and unexpected coming across the teenage lovers canoodling on the roof terrace, that I just had to snap it.
I really liked the way the way they seemed both lost in and oblivious to the city enfolding them. And the light was just gorgeous too.
Though where was the young lad's sense of chivalry, in not offering his skateboard to his young damsel? Mucho UnMexicano!
Have finally caught up to the latest series of Mad Men and we watched the 1st two episodes last night, after we got back. I love Mad Men, but found the opening to be oddly disjointed. Enjoyable, just not brilliant.
I did particularly enjoy seeing them all come back in their various different 70s garbery though, that was a real treat. And wouldn't we all love to know someone with a cupboard full of Leicas!
