Birmingham night out

Went out to see the stage version of I’ Daniel Blake at the Birmingham Playhouse this evening.

I saw the original screen version 6 years ago which had a profound impact on me and drove me to volunteer in a food bank.

Tonight the play was excellent and utilised speeches from various Conservative Ministers/Prime Ministers which made the message even more hard hitting.

Journey back was a nightmare and got diverted through some “interesting” areas with the car doors locked. Well it was 23:00 so what more can you expect.

New Crispy rule - Dont drive into the centre of Birmingham on a Friday night unless you know exactly where you are going.
