The last day of autumn

First of all, I have to apologise for posting another 'feeding out' blip. You must be sick of seeing cows - but they are our life, and feeding them is a very important part of our daily routine.

This photo shows Farmerboy out of his tractor in the paddock, picking up some string that came out with the hay. It is important that string from the hay isn't left in the paddock, as it is not good for the cows if they eat it. On the other side of the tractor is one of our farm dogs, Ben.

This weekend is a long holiday weekend. Monday is the day we celebrate the Queen's birthday (even though her real birthday is in April), while Tuesday the boys have off school as their teachers are busy doing Professional Development. So, four days off - what a life!
