Tonight we are on the Parkside Highway and still heading north.  We decided to try camping in a road side area.  We pulled off into a large paved road like area with toilets, fire rings, picnic tables and bear proof rubbish bins.  The bonus was a Beaver dam.  They are much bigger than I imagined. I saw it bring sticks back to plug up the dam.  Then another one came from a different direction.  Magic.  Did I mention there are no fees for being able to camp here.   Thank you to the state of Alaska.
