It?s a late Spring!

Now we know this is not news, but we can prove it at ThisOldHouse. This shot shows the old midden with the bluebells out in force, compared with the snowdrops and daffs of previous blips. We have a similar shot taken on May 1st two years ago - more than 3 weeks earlier! Unfortunately, we don't have a similar record of bird activity, although we suspect they too might be behind the normal calendar. But, for the last few days, the cacophony of the Starlings' feeding frenzy has been deafening. We tried to get a few blips of the young birds perched together on branches as the parents hurried to and fro but, alas, our little camera (and probably the photographer) were not up to the task - just a few, far away, blurred images from the maximum digital zoom!
