Garden: Rose Chafer

Bulkier and bristlier in large

I thought that I'd be posting a beautiful rosemary beetle that I photographed in the morning (even though I didn't catch its iridescence very well), but then Mum spotted this impressive rose chafer in the rather garish pink roses... It took off with an startling rattle of wings before I got a very clear angle on it.
