Pungent Skipper

When I first started shooting insects I read that one should focus on the eyes and try to avoid dorsal views. I've tried to get the eyes in focus in this image but have chosen a dorsal view to show the dark lines on the large skipper's upper forewings. These are called sex brands and are composed of special scent scales which emit a chemical concoction/perfume irresistible to females.
