Two very, very nice men!

Although the antibiotics seem to be doing their job, I don’t feel well enough yet to deal with hundreds of snarky teenagers so I booked today and tomorrow off. It was just as well, as when I went to pick my son up after his A level exam, my car was completely dead!

To cut a short story long, a lovely guy from the AA (the breakdown recovery service, not the other one, although I’m heading in that direction!) discovered that the connections to my battery had come loose and fixed it straight away. I know other breakdown services are available but I think the AA have saved my life almost as many times as the NHS, and that’s saying something! Strangely, my car radio, which had been stuck on Radio 4 for months, is also now working properly - superb result!

My plans for the rest of the day were pretty much cancelled, as I was too scared to drive anywhere, but we did make it to see Peter Gabriel, who was brilliant… and also a very nice man!
