Diary of an Edinburgher

Multi-tasking!

Pip arrived to visit - this is his mum's last day of work at John Lewis, she's back to working from home (she’s an illustrator). The weather forecast mentioned rain mid morning, but I didn't believe it - it was so warm and sunny, so we set off across the Meadows with the two dogs, heading for the dog friendly cafe in Quartermile.

Funnily enough, there was already a schnauzer in the cafe - Kaiser, who used to live round the corner. JR enjoyed her coffee, not having had one yesterday, and had a wee bit of a 'coffee headache'.

We strolled back, and there was some light rain, as predicted, but it didn't amount to much, and anyway, under the trees we were hardly affected. BUT... then it came on good and proper. It was lashing down and we all got soaked. Two wet dogs in the house!

JR changed and went in toJohn Lewis to sort out about the receipt for the lost (expensive!) sunglasses. And to get some Euros for our up and coming holiday!

The dogs and I snoozed, and I listened to the nail biting finish of the last day of the Ashes test match on the radio. I'd rather watch it on TV though. I watched a bit of tennis - Andy Murray's game (he lost) - and listened to the test cricket at the same time. Multi-tasking!
