Llandudno
TUESDAY
I had breakfast outside in the garden and then spent an hour or so doing some pruning. Late morning, a gardener who had been recommended by our neighbours called to give me a quote for some hedge cutting and fencing work.
Early afternoon, Graham our gas engineer arrived to service the boiler.
Once the boiler work had been done, we headed over to Llandudno. We arrived at 4:00 pm after which parking on the seafront is free of charge. It was hot and people were sunbathing on the beach.
The Waverley, the world’s last seagoing paddle steamer, was moored at the end of the pier. It had travelled with day trip passengers from Liverpool this morning and will return this evening. During the afternoon, it had offered cruises along the North Wales coast. It's will be making a similar trip again tomorrow.
We had a fish and chip meal and then, at 6:00 pm drove to the top of the Great Orme which we can just see from our home which is 20 miles away. It was pleasantly warm and sunny there. I saw the last tram of the day arrive at the top station.
After a drive around the Orme we went back to the centre of Llandudno. The seafront was even busier.
Home for 19:30.
