A Couple of Firsts ..

It was gorgeous and sunny this morning, so I decided to go out on a cuckoo hunting mission .. and eventually I found one! But they're tricky blighters .. I would slowly creep towards the call, and just as I felt I must be getting very close it would be coming from further away in the opposite direction!

Eventually I got a shot against the sun, and far too far away! My first cuckoo!

Shortly after, I found this reed warbler - not the first I've seen, but the first I've photographed - not particularly dramatic - but a nice bird, none-the-less.
