On This Day In History
1810: Zachary Taylor marries his future first lady

Quote Of The Day
"Economy I consider a virtue and should be practiced by all; there is certainly no better way in which money can be laid out than in the education of children."
(Zachary Taylor)

Ranked as one of the least significant presidents in U.S. history, Taylor had little interest in politics and only ran for president because so many people requested him to because of the popularity he had acquired through his military prowess. Still, with views such as this regarding education, he sounds like a good president to me.
