Solstice

Spent the evening at my mother’s going through up coming plans and eating a nice summery dinner of asparagus, chicken and raspberries.  It was a warm evening and I picked a bunch of roses and pinks for her to have in her sitting room.  Looking up we could see swifts circling over Hambledon, sometimes none, sometimes four at one point about twenty. A lovely way to spend the solstice evening 

I worked at home today, dashed into Petersfield to grab some things at lunchtime.
