Sula Lightship

This morning we had another private appointment with mrsfb's opthalmology consultant. The drops he prescribed (and which cost us £100) hadn't made any difference to her glaucoma. He wants to try some laser treatment next. The good news is that he can now switch us back to NHS treatment, as he is also her NHS consultant, though we have never managed to see him under the NHS. We couldn't even get to see 'one of his team' as there is such a backlog. He said he will get his NHS secretary to book an urgent appointment, but if we don't hear anything we have to get back to him via his private secretary.

Mrsfb also mentioned that the new drops were irritating her eyes, but he thought maybe that was the current high pollen count rather than the drops. He recommended some over the counter drops which he uses himself, several times a day at the moment. So he has eye problems too.

Afterwards we drove on to Gloucester Quays as mrsfb had a few clothes items she wanted to look for. There were loads of road works in Gloucester and I took a wrong turn on the way and ended up in Sainsbury's car park. Which was good really, as there was 3 hours free parking and a nice, different walk to the outlet shops. We walked past Llanthony Secunda Priory, and the Sula Lightship.

They seemed to be painting the superstructure.

We were disappointed with the outlet shops. I could do with some new shirts, but the choice was wide if you were small (not me) or extra small (definitely not me), but pretty non existence if you are large (me). Mrsfb was unsuccessful too, though she did buy two packs of trainer socks in M&S.

Another Day ....
I got a third place with this image, after a bit more HDR editing.
This year the competition subject is 'Horses and People of the Cotswolds' which must include at least one person and one horse. Hmm.
