Soft and spikey

An early walk at 6.30am but by 7am the poor hound was pretty warm.

Pottered around at home and garden today.  It kept feeling like rain was imminent but so far it's been dry and warm.

We have these thistles in front of the kitchen window where we sit to eat.  Last year it was full of different bees, butterflies and hoverflies.  Lovely to watch.  When the flowers go to seed I chop the plants down. 

Light salad for dinner. Not much appetite when it's warm.
