Male Blackbird ( Turdus merula )

Kat came down to help her Mum with the winding down of the studio.  Despite recently having had Covid she seems to have boundless energy and an uncanny knack of keeping her Mum on task and making decisions quickly.  as a result things progressed well.  Back home to a BBQ with Kat and Kanyl.  All in all a good day.

The Blackbird was singing in the "Lanei" ( Chamecyparis lawsoniana "Lanei" ) so I took a shot while sitting round the BBQ.  He is obviously one half of the approximately 5,100,000 pairs.  There has been an 18% reduction in population since 1967.
