Truly magnificent.....

Hampton Court Palace was simply magnificent today! SO much history and grandeur, custom and majesty! And the gardens were perfection itself. My friend was an excellent guide having taught the Tudors to Yr 5 pupils and arranged many a school trip to Henry V111's home. (I chose this wide angle shot to try to convey the vastness of this palace.)

The day has been perfect weather wise too and we began our visit enjoying an al fresco lunch at Zizzi's. And a cream tea was the perfect way to end our day together.

Back home on the tram from Wimbledon with everyone else which meant no seat for much of the journey. My feet ache and I am tired but it's been a great day.
