Up on the roof

Not something you see every day (well, not where I live): an oystercatcher on a chimney. We escaped to Bosham for a day away from it all and had a lovely few hours. We walked along the foreshore and back (the tide was completely out when we arrived, which was flukily good timing), then had lunch at the Anchor Bleu, followed by ice cream at the craft place, which is when I spied the oystercatcher. We also had a sit down by the quay, watching the various boats doing their thing. A lovely day out.

In other news, my regular reader may recall the fire at the hotel in town back in March. The very good news is that today the road has finally been reopened. It has taken no time at all for all the traffic to return and no doubt people will soon be complaining about that!
