Diary of an Edinburgher

Getting things done!

A day with many things accomplished. The main one being getting Gill added in to part of our trip in OZ next year.  When she was here a couple of weeks ago, we mentioned that she should come with us for part of it, and she's realised this is a good idea. So I texted our travel agent, and got her to add Gill in with that part of the trip, including the wine tour. And the trip to Kangaroo Island! Sorted.

I have made an effort to sort out a few 'outfits' for our up and coming opera trip. But my half-hearted choices have not met with total approval, mainly because they were ridiculous... So JR, in desperation, took it upon herself to go into town and find something more suitable. She took a couple of items to match colours, which of course is a very good idea. She was gone all afternoon, but came home triumphant. It's great to have a personal shopper!! I've now got several 'outfits'. People have been asking could I not just pack the 'capsule wardrobe' I had for the cruise last month. Well, that one wasn't a total success. And anyway, it's going to be much much hotter in Italy. So a more appropriate wardrobe is needed. And I've got one now! Besides, I'll need it for the next cruise, and next summer in Australia.

Archie and I took a walk around the Links, and I tried my newly found sandals, and found them comfy enough. In the afternoon, we went out again to meet JR because I knew which bus she was on. Oh look! Our newest favourite pub (The Patron Saint) was just down the road, so we popped in for a glass of rosé to celebrate getting things done. Archie wasn't keen at first, but then enjoyed sitting watching the staff busying themselves making cocktails.

Back home and after tea, I tried on all my new goodies. All keepers.
