Diary of an Edinburgher

Spot Archie!

A much more active day than yesterday, I'm pleased to report. A lovely sleep-filled night, no sore arms, and awake to sunshine! I was up and active from the GET-GO. (I HATE awful expression that has crept in to daily usage.)

First of all, washing, sheets out on the line, then I fixed the fence between us and the neighbours - this has to be done when they're out, as he sits right at the bay window on his computer).

Then I decided to snip all the wee twigs which are sprouting from the lovely still-trimmed looking hedge. I reckoned once, that if I kept these little blighters at bay, then a big proper exhausting hedge cut would not be necessary. Unfortunately I didn't keep it up. Mybe this year...

Then I took Archie out, but just round the block, as I wanted to cut the daisies grass, and that would take most of my energy. This will save me doing it tomorrow.

JR had two gym sessions. Always the same report-

'Oh that was HARD!'

'But GOOD!'

She then went to the supermarket and then took Archie out again, as he hadn't had much of a walk with me.

Later, I sat out in the sun, listening to my fairly new-fangled Amazon Music (free with Prime). At first it annoyed me because they often don't play the ones you want, but stick in their own suggestions. I have now realised that this is GREAT, as they're in the same genre as the ones I requested, and I've found LOTS of other artists that I really like.

Christine is coming tomorrow, along with Dougal, and her niece's dog, Bonnie - that'll be fun! But I KNOW it's going to be nice and we can sit out the back.

Hazel is back home tomorrow!

And now I have to watch the football.
