Above Wasdale Head

My choice of activity today was a cycle along Wastwater to Wasdale Head (and back), not far but very undulating.
At the Head I left the bike and walked a couple of k up the valley, great and clear views of the mountains, and on the way back a different angle on the lake (extra). Mr Rat took himself off for a longer cycle after we'd been into the tiny church - England's smallest parish church, extra of one of its windows.
Lunch by the river near the packhorse bridge and then back to the car but we spent an hour lazing and reading in a breezy spot with the classic Wasdale view (last extra) before returning to camp.
