Life in Shetland is about light... and at this time of year, there's plenty of it. It makes a pleasant change from the long dark days of winter. This shot was taken at 11 pm - and we're not even at the longest day yet.

The light changes so fast... earlier in the evening, there was little to see. And then - with a slight change in air mass - there was this lovely gentle light on the hills opposite my house.

And this was what was on offer on the horizon... Magical.
