Music at The Mill

Spent a lovely afternoon at Barry Mill near Carnoustie to meet up with the folk from my online writing course, including L from Carolina who’s here on holiday, S from near Sandhurst who’s part of the online support for Lifelong Learning Dundee as well as a student on the course, A from Glasgow, C from just over the water in Newport on Tay, and our tutor J who lives in Carnoustie. I has been doing these Life Writing courses for 10 years and sent out an invitation to past and present students and there were about about her 10 or 12 who turned up too. It was lovely to meet everyone and share some nice food and just chat about writing, reading, and lots of other stuff too. Our next class won’t start until autumn now but we’re already looking forward to catching up again soon online, and perhaps even in person again as there’s usually an LLD meet up in ate summer.
We were so lucky with the weather - the forecast was for thunderstorms from midday but other than the odd spot of rain through the afternoon it stayed dry until we were packing up and heading home at 4.30.
