Field Trip
Yes, today I went on a 3rd grade field trip with 20 kids and 8 adults. It was well supervised. ( the lovely teacher is my husband's cousin's daughter.) she really has done well for her first year of teaching, too. This field trip marks the end of that first year.
I have gone several different days to help her in the class room this year and have enjoyed the students so much. When I was asked to go on this field trip I didn't hesitate saying yes. I love kids and school and teaching and all the fun of it.
We went to Berthusen's Park in Lynden. I love that park and the trees and farm history and all that goes with it. This was a picture taking day and I took lots of pictures of the kids and the park but when we were getting ready to leave I asked if we could all get lined up under the old windmill for a group picture so we did.
After I got all students and adults lined up I handed the camera to a by stander to click the moment. (this is almost like putting the camera on the timer. Right?) She was a good sport about helping me out so I got to be in the picture too. It was a great school field trip. And ....I can't say enough about what a sweet and nice bunch of kids they all are.
