The Heart Of A Damsel
I had several errands to run including going to collect another tall scratching post for the boys - they get through them so quickly but I’m glad they use a scratching post rather than my furniture ;-))
When I had finished my jobs I realised I was quite near a nature reserve that I haven’t been to for a long time, so I called in to see what was around. There were masses of insects of every description and several different species of butterflies busy in the wild patch - I didn’t know where to point my camera first.
Even though there were plenty of subjects they were difficult to photograph because there was lots of long grass amongst the other wild flowers which made focusing quite a challenge but I was pleased when this pair of damselflies settled on the edge of the patch, so they get the blip fame for today - I will return another day to try to get some of the other critters ;-))
I didn’t have very long at the nature reserve because I had to get back to help get Boo into the carrier so he could go for his post op check up. The vet said he appears to be doing ok but as he’s still snorting and sneezing from time to time we need to keep a close eye on him now that he won’t be on meds anymore ........ fingers crossed that he eventually makes a full recovery ;-)
