Sparrowhawk

I was brewing up this afternoon when this bird landed on our back fence. I was shouting to Terry to come quickly! He got there in time before it flew off. It was sad to see the poor blackbird but wonderful to see the sparrowhawk. I wanted to open the shutter to get a good photo but was sure I would scare it off, so I just did a quick snap through the shutter slats and now I've cropped it to get a better view. I love to see birds of prey but on the rare occasion when one comes visiting, you don't usually get chance to take a photo.
