Mambo, we've resumed watching Happy Valley. 

Putin had contempt for democracies with their silly little political processes and was convinced the US and Europe would stop supporting Ukraine. Our commitment to Ukraine has surprised him and our willingness to make hard calls, like with energy, and offer considerable aid, was completely unanticipated. He could be right, he might outlast our support, but he could be wrong if Ukraine continues to inspire us. 

Since the mutiny, not a coup because apparently, he wasn't trying to overthrow Putin, only the military, only eight world leaders have talked to Putin by phone. Some others called to express "solidarity" but asked that their names not be publicized. The Chinese leader has NOT called. 

Military aid to Ukraine included not just weapons, but repair equipment. This probably includes vehicles to transport armored vehicles. Most military vehicles have modular components that can be quickly replaced. NATO has a practice of standardizing components which should reduce logistical problems. Plus, aid included training on equipment repair.
