Virginia Woolf statue

This statue of the writer Virginia Woolf (1882-1941) was installed last November and is at Richmond Riverside, very near Richmond Bridge overlooking the river. I have seen it in the distance before but usually there are lots of people around it and sitting on the bench alongside! Today I had met some friends for lunch in the Megan’s restaurant nearby .
Virginia Woolf had a house in Richmond..initially on the Green and then later in Hogarth House nearby where she and her husband started the Hogarth Press.

A very overcast day and cooler too.
