Too Hot

The birds are all tucked in. It was dangerously hot today. At 9:30 Am it was 91 with a heat index of 109’F. At 12:57 PM, it was 96 with a heat index of 117’F!!! That’s like 47.17 ‘ C!! Johnny and his mowing partner were home around noon. They are being smarter this year, thankfully. The dogs have been in the house a lot. I turned most of the birds out so they could dust and free range in the grass. Pearl, the female turkey, runs the duck out of their pool and just stands in it. I try to keep it clean and fresh for the dogs too when they are out. It actually feel cool now in the low 80’s.
