Let me out!

My original idea for today's blip was going to be the cap I won (see yesterday) which arrived special delivery this morning - at 7.30 waking me up LOL. But then I was out in the garden as dusk was falling, pulling up a few weed seedlings and spotted this Oriental Poppy about to burst. It amazes me that all of those petals are crumpled up inside the flower case.

Been a vaguely dissatisfying day today. Got started on the school reports this morning, intending to get out in the garden this afternoon but the weather didn't play ball and it remained overcast and cool all day. Here's hoping for better tomorrow.
