Old buoys

A collection of disused light buoys near Kinnaird Head Lighthouse which is shown in the extra. Light buoys were introduced by the Northern Lighthouse Board in the early 1800s to warn shipping of hazards - the last remaining gas powered lights are gradually being converted to solar power.
